Aho’ Rajanaka,
I hope this finds you well. I want to thank you for your patience and care. We have been attending to family matters. My daughter Madeleine’s father-in-law passed suddenly last week. David Holmes will be remembered as a wonderful father, husband, and friend to so many. Thanks to so many who reached out and took notice on social media.
And just as the news reached last week our list-serv went on the blink---making it near-impossible to reach all of you with changes in our Sessions schedule. Apologies.
Our email is back up and running and because we missed last week, I’m here to make good on promises to complete the Spring Sessions. If you are not on the email list, send me a note and I will add you “manually.” (The invitation is on the Rajanaka website, which is under revision (for reals)).
· Hanuman and the Greatness of the Shadow “needs” at least two more Sessions. We will resume on Saturday, May 24th (that’s next weekend) and conclude on Saturday, May 31st. (We are not meeting tomorrow, May 17th, I have University graduation responsibilities.)
· Sunday Mahabharata will also take this weekend off (May 18th). We will resume on Sunday, May 25th and meet as well on Sunday, June 1st.
· There will be at least one Special Session in June. Date and time will be announced soon. Our regular weekend meetings are on Summer hiatus as I prepare for Rajanaka Summer Camp.
· Rajanaka Summer Camp is a go. Thank you. Summer Camp convenes in Bristol beginning at 2pm on Thursday, July 10th and concludes on Monday, July 14th. Details are posted below the line here but lemme’say that I am heartened by the turn out. There is still room and still time enough for you to decide for Camp. Come see us. Camp is like nothing else. The company can’t be beat, so think about joining us. There is a Zoom option as well. The whole entrée is described again below.
“If you like, you can come back tomorrow.” Appa ended every day with this invitation. Yoga, he said, is an invitation never an obligation.
I want you to know that you are welcome to Rajanaka Sessions, Camp, Seminars, whatever we do ,whenever it’s possible for you.
For my part, I will show up prepared to do the work and ready to pour out my heart. I think you know the deal. We’ve been at this for some time now. Thanks for all of your time and efforts. The Plan? The Plan is to carry on, little by little, again and again. And that’s all there is to it.
Do take care. These are difficult, frightening times. For all of the uncertainty and tribulation we face, we will take care of each other; committed to the values we find in the work we share, with friendship and good conversation, with consideration and compassion for all of life’s strange twists and turns.
Know you’re not alone. Know you are always welcome. Come when you can. Write to me, anytime.
As ever, saprema, with affection
Douglas

Sending love and light through these times.
