Thank you. In all the devastation and shock of the past 45 hours, your words feel like an anchor. They help me tune into that sense of refuge (which you wrote of yesterday) that is still possible. Thank you for this space. Saprema.
Simply golden! Thanks, DB. This so well captures the moment we are in and reminds us how bad it has been in the divisions in America at the time of the Civil War. How far will it go this time? It is especially helpful to consider where telling the Truth and staking out one's position might not lead to "value," as Douglas said to us last night. Lincoln so clearly understood this in his observations about friends and enemies. My brother and sister both voted for trump (yikes...both around 70, college educated and affluent. They apparently did not get the memo on this demographic for this election cycle which voted heavily for Harris). I am so grateful to Douglas for his wisdom as this piece helps me to say at this age there is little to be gained by addressing the truth with them. I have to try to hang on to what value I have with. Douglas's piece is also a call to action, a call I am very much ready to answer. Bravo, as always, Douglas. The VALUE YOU OFFER IS IMMENSE!
Douglas, I am grateful to still be on the distribution list and have access to these thoughts. Your words and your wisdom are like a tonic to me.
With Love, fidelity and respect, I hold onto our extended community and am seeking the ways I can help support it.
Jeffrey

Thank you, my friend. It is good to not be alone in the desert.
