"As it gets darker, we’ll need to learn how to see better in the dark."

Indeed. And it isn't merely seeing in the dark; it's seeing through the smoke screens and the house of mirrors routines (both our own and those of others) that are currently at play. As

you say: we're going to need a better yoga for that.

I think it is important to protest and show dismay over what has happened. I think it is very important to stand the ground on your beliefs even if you think it affects no one, you have given someone something to think about! Be strong, when you hear something you don't like, challenge it!

Beautifully put, Douglas. Thanks and agreed. I have been saying the same thing: either people put enough pressure on republicans in congress to start acting as the check and balance congress was created for, or we have to hold fast until the mid-terms. Either way, the country loses until we get back to 3 branches of government that work together for all of us. I am guessing that the founding fathers never considered that the congress would abdicate its role in the system of checks and balances to the president. As Charlie Brown would say, "Good grief!"

yes: Rage on, calmly. Yoga that meets this moment would be beneficial - I think we each know how to bring that about. Thank you, Douglas, for holding the space for us to gather with our concerns. We are all here together at this specific time in this world - how amazingly terrifying.
