yikes...so much here. I love the fact that in order to truly listen to Douglas I have to bring my A game and sometimes that is nowhere near enough! To continue with the pinball metaphor, it now feels like the power players have found away around the "TILT" mechanism. I love the yoga Douglas describes that we need now. Tolkien's yoga of unlikely alliances and full-on commitment to the quest also feels right for the moment. Thanks, DB. This requires multiple reads!
Thank you Douglas. Your honesty, guiding lessons and the profound truth about the work we must do feels supportive during this uncomfortable and uncertain time. The "walkin on this stuff is hard walkin".
Even listening to this required me to drop the distractions, to listen, to consider, to digest ~ certainly this will take a few more passes, to assimilate a little more each time.
The recollection of "men that just want to see the world burn" hit home,, it is hard to accept that there are people (humans?) like that; and that not only are strong defences necessary but that assertive actions are warranted.
Also poigniant is the sense of Shiva choosing, at the heart of the storm, to remain immovable ~ 'just because I don't respond doesn't mean I haven't heard you'.
